Program Description
TEC Med Recruit is a digital platform that connects qualified nurses from ASEAN member states with aged care providers in Australia. If you are a nurse from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam, you can apply for a two-year contract to work and live in Australia. The program works to enhance your professional skills, cultural competence, and career prospects in the growing field of aged care. You also have an opportunity to increase your earnings or savings, as the minimum starting salary is $70,000 AUD per year.
Candidate Qualifications
- Citizen of an ASEAN country currently residing in the region;
- Aged 21 to 40 at the time of application;
- Hold a certificate or diploma in nursing of at least 12 months duration or a degree in a related field;
- Have studied personal care or individual support for the elderly for at least 6 months and done 120 hours of practical work;
- Have a valid nursing license or registration in your home country;
- Have an English language proficiency test score of at least 5.0 in IELTS or B in OET or equivalent;
- Be committed to working in the aged care sector in Australia for at least two years.
